Jon BrodrickSales Manager
February 2005What I do
I manage our team of Tour Advisors, who speak to the majority of customers who choose to book with us.Biography I enjoy working in my home town of York, where I grew up; although I did have a brief fling with the red rose of Lancashire, where I earned my BA in History. I returned back over the Pennines to look for a career and can honestly say that selling holidays is a very rewarding and satisfying way to earn a living. Favourite rail journey
The Glacier Express. It was my first taste of what a holiday by rail really means, and I've been sold on the concept ever since. The scenery speaks for itself, and if there is a better way to experience it in such comfort, I would like to know about it.Favourite GRJ tour
USA Coast to Coast. If time allowed, I would book this tour tomorrow. I've seen bits and pieces of the United States, but in this tour you have a three-week experience that covers just about every major tourist attraction this huge country has to offer, as well as some of those you might not have considered.Top traveller tips
- Pack light! If you really do believe that travelling is a part of your holiday, then you'll already know this. Don't burden yourself; pack sensibly and let one of the hotels launder your clothes if you need it.
- Get to know your Tour Manager. They are a mine of information on what to get out of free time in your holiday, and really nice people too!
