Fly Jet Airways on our Indian rail tours
Great Rail Journeys has chosen the award-winning Jet Airways to be our preferred airline on all of our rail tours to India for 2011 and 2012. Since their first flight in 1993, Jet Airways has grown to be India's largest airline, operating flights to and from 51 destinations in India and 24 destinations worldwide. It is one of the fastest growing airlines in the world, and is also renowned for having a very young fleet of aircraft with an average fleet age of just 5.15 years old (May 2011).Our accommodation on board
On our India rail tours we will be flying on their Boeing 777-300ER or Airbus 330-200 aircraft. We include accommodation in Economy Class which features seats with a 32" pitch, as well as 'hammock-style' foot rests and head rests and a reading light. The in-flight entertainment system that incorporates personal 10.6 inch LCD touch screens with a wide range of 'on demand' Bollywood and international films, television and audio channels, music and e-books. The menu for the on-board meals features both Indian and Continental cuisine.

We also offer upgrades to Première Class, which features seats that convert to a fully flat bed. The seats are generally arranged in a herringbone configuration, offering plenty of personal space in which to relax as well as direct access to the aisle. The same on demand entertainment system found in Economy is available in Première, however Première customers enjoy watching the large selection of films on 15.4 inch LCD touch screens.
