Product - Product Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Product Manager to join our team. The Product Manager is responsible for the creation and development of our tours that are the most competitive in the market whilst maintaining and improving quality for the customer.

 

The Role:

  • Leadership of the Product development for a given geography
  • Identifying areas that will improve the customer experience for current and future tours
  • Responsible for master itineraries , product briefs and brochure content
  • Costing of tours and monitoring of trend/ sales analysis
  • Ownership of the provision of accurate and timely tour information
  • Ensuring delivery of product training to the sales team at brochure launch
  • Delivery of educational trips for your given geography
  • Producing a capacity plan which will optimise efficiency and to own the development and delivery of a strategic product plan
  • Responsible for refreshing the product range and identifying and developing new product opportunities
  • Responsible for bringing to market a programme which is fully researched with our customer
  • Ownership of implementing a robust quality improvement plan
  • Responsible for the resolution of critical contractual operational issues
  • Responsible for the leadership of cross-departmental projects
  • Contract commercially beneficial terms
  • Provision of contract information to the contracts team
  • Accountable for ensuring Health and Safety audits are complete
  • Accountable for the supplier management of core accounts
  • Identifying opportunities for multi - year contracts, exclusivity deals, marketing contributions and override agreements
  • UK & Overseas travel will be required

 

The person:

  • Proven experience in product management with a travel or leisure business
  • Strong destination knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Commercially focused with excellent negotiation skills
  • Highly numerate with proficient IT skills including Microsoft Office
  • High attention to detail
  • Flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to analyse & interpret management information
  • Previous leadership and management experience
  • Positive and pro-active
  • Strategic thinker with a proven record of delivering
  • Customer focussed individual
  • Prepared to challenge the status quo and suggest new working practices
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines and deliver on internal service level agreements
  • Able to build relations with virtual teams of Operations, Marketing, Sales
  • Fluency in another European language is preferred but not essential
