The spectacular St Ives Bay Line is a 4.25-mile railroad trip that connects the tranquil village of St Erth with picturesque fishing harbor of St Ives in Cornwall, England.  This romantic train ride passes the Cornish coast, where you can spot sea birds, before it crosses the Carbis Bay Viaduct and begins its descent into St Ives Station. Insider tip: try to get a seat on the right-hand side of the train from St. Erth - the views across the sea are incredible!

North Yorkshire Moors Railway

The 'Iron Road to the Isles' links the ports of Mallaig and Oban to Glasgow. The Settle-Carlisle Railway is a 73-mile scenic rail journey that cuts through the Yorkshire Dales, Cumbrian Fells and North Pennines. Known for its Victorian architecture, stone viaducts and long tunnels, this railway's crowning glory is the expansive Ribblehead Viaduct. This iconic and majestic feat of engineering carries the line above the valley of the River Ribble and is the longest and third tallest structure on the Settle-Carlisle Railway.

Ffestiniog Railway

With over 200 years of history, the Ffestiniog Railway is the world's oldest narrow-gauge railway.  This  historic 13.5-mile train ride will take you from the harbor in Porthmadog to the slate-quarrying town of Blaenau Ffestiniog.  This scenic train journey will take you over 700 feet above sea level into the stunning mountains, through serene pastures and past picturesque lakes and waterfalls.  The railway still operates three of their original locomotives, which are more than 150 years-old!
