Our base in Sorrento is the glamorous 4-Star superior Parco dei Principi. This unique hotel is something of a local landmark, designed by the famous Italian architect Gio Ponti in the early 1960s. The entire building is furnished in a classic yet contemporary style, from the public areas to the beautiful blue-and-white tiled floors of the spacious bedrooms.
The hotel is situated just outside the very centre of the town in its own glorious 3-hectare botanical gardens. There is a regular shuttlebus into the heart of Sorrento; alternatively the route along the clifftops overlooking the Gulf of Naples and Mount Vesuvius makes a pleasant walk. Gio Ponti also designed some of the hotel's many leisure facilities such as the outdoor salt water pool. Other facilities at the Parco dei Principi include a lounge bar, restaurant, fitness centre and a private beach - accessible through a rock tunnel carved into the cliff face. There is complimentary Wi-Fi available throughout the hotel, whilst rooms come equipped with typical amenities found in a hotel of this standard.
