The Elipsos group, a consortium of French and Spanish railways, operate the excellent overnight Francisco de Goya 'TrenHotel' sleepers between Paris and Madrid.
Sleepers in Preferente Class consist of a cosy, private two-berth compartment with two armchairs by day and upper and lower berths at night. Each Preferente Class compartment comes with a washbasin, towels, soap and mineral water. Breakfast in the restaurant car is included in the Preferente fare and passengers can also buy snacks, meals and drinks from the restaurant and café-bar cars at other times during their journey.
Francisco de Goya Gran Class sleepers also feature two armchairs by day and upper and lower berths at night. In addition, they have an en suite bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet. Towels, complimentary toiletries and mineral water are provided. Breakfast and a three-course evening meal are both included in the Gran Class fare and are served in the restaurant car.
