Canadian
The Canadian was the last Trans-Continental train to be built for the famed Canadian Pacific Railway, and it is a true classic. The original stainless steel 'streamliner' coaches have been fully restored to their 1950s splendour and today carry passengers on a dramatic journey, crossing the rugged landscape of the Canadian Shield and the wide-open prairies, through the majestic scenery of the Rockies to Vancouver.
We travel in Sleeper Touring Class (formerly Silver & Blue Class), the best accommodation on board. The twin cabins are comfortable and private and consist of comfortable armchairs during the day and cosy upper and lower berths at night. The cabins feature a washbasin, mirror and WC. Showers are situated at the end of each carriage. All cabins are fully serviced by the on-board crew and passengers enjoy complimentary toiletries, towels and bottles of water. Single cabins are also available.
Sleeper Touring Class passengers have exclusive use of the Park Car at the rear of the train. The Park Car's observation dome offers spectacular 360 degree views of the passing scenery, whilst the Bullet Lounge offers views from its comfy armchairs and huge wrap-around windows. The Park Car also has a curved 1950s-style bar serving wine and aperitifs. The Canadian's Skyline Car offers an observation dome as well as a lounge serving beverages, a library and a programme of on-board entertainment.
All meals are included and are served in the elegant Sleeper Touring Class dining car. The meals are freshly prepared by the on-board chefs and are accompanied by an all-Canadian wine list (not included).
