This relaxing cruise along the Volga, through a sweeping landscape of birch forests and traditional villages, links the vibrant city of Moscow with grand, imperial St Petersburg. Ashore, we explore Russia's history, culture and beautiful architecture.

Embark on this holiday with an open mind and you will really enjoy the adventure! If it's your first visit to Russia you will learn a lot and perceptions may well be challenged. You'll certainly be impressed by the magnificence of churches, by the ornate architecture of the Moscow Metro, then by the beauty of St Petersburg. Yet Red Square and the Kremlin may not be quite what you imagined!
While the big cities are changing fast there's a great sense of timelessness as we make leisurely progress along the Volga. The river cruise is relaxing, well organised, and covers a lot of ground in comfort. The overland journey to Moscow is part of the whole experience too, and transports us through different cultures in a way air travel never can.
