A busy trip - but what a trip!

Gazing at the picture perfect beauty of Lake Bled... (In fact, if anyone had offered the image as a chocolate box design, they'd have been told not to be silly!)... Luxuriating in the 5-star ambience of the Hotel Esplanade in Zagreb and adding our names to the Queen, the Burtons, Pele, McCartney et.al on the guest list... Enjoying marvellous trips; through the Austrian mountains, on a roller-coaster train across Croatia, past Marco Polo's beautiful home of Korcula off the Dalmatian coast, and not forgetting a steam train in Slovenia accompanied by Archduke Ferdinand!

We took a train inside the mountain to see the staggering Postojna caves, lost ourselves in the alleys of Diocletian's extraordinary palace in Split, and walked around the walls of 'the pearl of the Adriatic' in Dubrovnik, before enjoying a final evening's folklore concert. So many marvellous experiences, packed into a fortnight that seemed to go on forever!
