Rhine Cruise MS Bellevue 2011 

We leave St Pancras International by Eurostar and travel to Brussels in Standard Premier Class. Here we change trains and continue through Belgium into Germany to the city of Dusseldorf, where our ship, MS Bellevue, is waiting for us. (E,D)

This morning MS Bellevue arrives in Koblenz, a city which stands at the confluence of the Rhine and the Moselle. Here you have the opportunity to take an optional city tour or alternatively you may wish to discover the picturesque Old Town at your leisure. We reboard the ship and this afternoon we cruise the spectacular Middle Rhine, a UNESCO World Heritage site, with a different castle seemingly around every bend and timeless villages hugging the banks, as well as the legendary Lorelei rock. In the evening we reach the well-loved wine town of Rüdesheim, where we moor for the night. (B,L,D)

We spend this morning in Rüdesheim. Why not explore the charming cobbled streets, not least the quaint and charming Drosselgasse, or visit Siegfried's Music Box Museum. In the afternoon we head for Mannheim, where we overnight. (B,L,D)

We begin with free time in Mannheim or an optional excursion to Heidelberg, the beautiful city on the River Neckar, before we reach Speyer for the evening. Marvel at one of Germany's greatest Romanesque cathedrals. (B,L,D)

We reach Kehl, situated on the German bank opposite Strasbourg. An optional shore excursion introduces the city of Strasbourg, which has changed hands many times and still displays French and German influences in equal measure. (B,L,D)

We spend this morning in Mainz, famed as the home of Gutenberg, the pioneer of printing. We moor overnight in Bingen at the foot of the Rhine Gorge. (B,L,D)

This morning we cruise back down the famous Rhine Gorge and moor in Boppard, where you have some time to enjoy this pretty wine town, before continuing to Cologne. Here you have the opportunity to disembark the ship and explore Cologne, perhaps visiting the delightful Old Town and the impressive Gothic cathedral. (B,L,D)

We leave MS Bellevue in Düsseldorf and join the train to Brussels. From Brussels it is just a short journey by Eurostar back to St Pancras International. (B,E)
