On the shores of Lake Garda 2010
Enjoy picturesque lake views together with visits to Venice, Verona and Milan
Set in one of our most popular destinations, Desenzano, this holiday combines the laid-back charms of picturesque Lake Garda with the lively bustle of Verona and Venice. Our trips take in Scaligeri Castle, Juliet's balcony, St Mark's Square.

The advantage of a tour where you are based in the same hotel is the flexibility it offers you: you can join all the organised trips and excursions, or you can opt out sometimes and relax by a pool, potter around Desenzano, or take a bus and explore the countryside. You soon become aware of the history of the region: Austrian balconies and German names remind you of pretty recent history, and the symbol of the Venetian lion with wings make a link with the little states that existed before there was an Italy.
Lake Garda is centrally placed for trips to Milan ("big, busy, fabulous for shopping and brilliant for seeing Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper"), Verona ("charming, easy going, full of gems, and to see again") and Venice (" every artist's dream, unreal, you love it or hate it"). These are some of the comments made by customers on tours, and I agree with all of them. The trips make you realise how little we know about Italy. You may come back from the Shores of Lake Garda with a fresh outlook on the buzz of Italy's towns and the beauty of its northern mountainous countryside.
