  • Day 1 - By train to Chambéry

    Paris We leave St Pancras International by Eurostar for Paris with a buffet service available. In Paris we cross the city by coach before continuing by high-speed train to Chambéry, a delightful city surrounded by the jagged peaks of the mighty Alps. We spend the night at the Mercure Chambéry Centre Hotel, and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. (D)
  • Day 2 - Chambery to Venice by rail

    Grand Canal, Venice We depart by train this morning on the high-speed TGV, travelling down through France and Italy to Milan. After changing trains here, we continue to Venice Mestre, where we check into our hotel for tonight, the Lugano Torretta. (B)
  • Day 3 - Venice

    Venice Today we cross the lagoon to the enchanting city of Venice. We enjoy a free morning to explore the unforgettable sights of this romantic city, which include St Mark's Basilica and the Doge's Palace. Venice lends itself to idle wandering; possibly the best way to enjoy its captivating charms is to let yourself get lost in the myriad of winding alleys and twisting lanes that make up the city centre. Why not marvel at the beauty of St Mark's Cathedral or indulge yourself with a gondola ride through this beguiling city? This afternoon we board Norwegian Jade cruise ship, for a fantastic 7-night cruise. We leave Venice in the late afternoon, heading towards our first port of call, Dubrovnik. Once our cruise begins, it is time to relax. The pace of your holiday is set by you alone - you may wish to join optional shore excursions or explore independently, to enjoy the many facilities on board or simply take it easy. (B,D)
  • Day 4 - Dubrovnik

    Dubrovnik We arrive in Dubrovnik, the 'Pearl of the Adriatic', after lunch and spend the rest of the day here. Situated on Croatia's enchanting Dalmatian coast, this walled city has narrow cobbled streets, pretty squares and elegant palaces. Explore at your own pace or join an optional shore excursion. Sights to see in Dubrovnik include the picturesque old port and the historic Old Town - a UNESCO World Heritage site. (B,L,D)
  • Day 5 - A day at sea

    Norwegian Jade A day at sea is the ideal time to experience the excellent facilities on board the ship - enticing restaurants, relaxing lounge bars and a casino, gym and spa. (B,L,D)
  • Day 6 - Athens

    Athens Our port of call today is Piraeus, an ideal stopping off point for visiting Athens. Here you are free to explore or take the ship's optional excursions. Discover the ancient Greek capital, dominated by the iconic Parthenon, the famed temple dedicated to Greek goddess Athena, which has stood above the city for almost 2,500 years. The city is full of archaeological sites - particularly around the incredible acropolis - and museums that are well worth visiting, as well as some excellent shopping opportunities. This evening we continue our cruise towards Turkey. (B,L,D)
  • Day 7 - Kusadasi and Ephesus

    Celcus Library, Ephesus

    Today we dock in the busy resort of Kusadasi. From here you could take an optional excursion to visit Ephesus, the ancient city that is one of the world's best-preserved archaeological sites. Here you can find the ruins of the Temple of Artemis, one of the seven wonders of the Ancient World, and the library of Celsus which once held 12,000 scrolls. (B,L,D)

  • Day 8 - A day at sea

    Norwegian Jade interior With a day to relax, you may wish to take advantage of the many and varied options available to you on board. You could take a swim in one of the ship's three pools, indulge in a spa treatment (payable locally) or visit the casino. Alternatively, you could relax and enjoy the views from one of the observation decks, or perhaps see one of the range of on-board entertainment acts in the ship's theatre. (B,L,D)
  • Day 9 - Split

    Split During the morning we dock in the ancient Roman city of Split on the Dalmatian coast. Here you could explore at leisure or join an optional excursion for a tour of Split which covers the key sights including the cathedral of St Duje and the Temple of Jupiter. The city's masterpiece is the Diocletian Palace. Built originally for the Roman Emperor at the turn of the 4th century, the palace is a UNESCO World Heritage site. We leave Split this evening and cruise back to Venice overnight. (B,L,D)
  • Days 10-11 - Venice to Turin and London

    Piazza Castello, Turin

    We arrive in Venice this morning. After our final breakfast on board, we disembark Norwegian Jade and transfer to the railway station. From Venice we travel to Turin, where we spend the night at the Holiday Inn and enjoy a farewell dinner. On Day 11 we depart Turin and head into France by high-speed train. In Paris, we rejoin the Eurostar service to London. (Day 10-B,D; Day 11-B)
