Enjoy the fantastic landscapes of Ireland's north and west coasts on a holiday packed with excursions. We visit the Giant's Causeway, the Connemara Coast, and explore the history of Belfast. Awash with locations that capture the essence of Ireland, this tour is a great place to start as a newcomer to the Emerald Isle.
Our holiday begins with a direct flight* from London Heathrow to Belfast. On arrival, we set out on a guided tour by coach before transferring to our hotel. We continue our explorations on the morning of Day 2, with a visit to Crumlin Road Gaol - a Victorian-era prison. After a tour there's free time for lunch before we continue to the Titanic Museum, where you can discover the secrets of the world's most infamous ship. Day 3 sees us transfer to Bushmills, on the north coast of County Antrim. Along the way, we stop at Carrickfergus Castle and Ballycastle. Enjoy free time around this area of Outstanding Natural Beauty before we make our way to the Bushmills Distillery. Here we enjoy a delicious whiskey tasting.
We visit one of Northern Ireland's most beloved attractions today - the Giant's Causeway. Next we visit Dunluce Castle, an ancient site that had a starring role in Game of Thrones as Castle Greyjoy. Afterwards, we transfer to Coleraine where you have free time before catching the train to Derry. On arrival, we set out on a guided walking tour of this town that sits on the border between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
We head out into the Irish countryside today, visiting Slieve League - one of the highest sea cliffs in all of Ireland. Soak up commanding views over the dramatic Atlantic coast before our drive to Glenveagh, where we enjoy a tour. The Connemara Coast enchants us on Day 6, as we enjoy a picturesque drive to Westport. Following free time, we continue to Kylemore Abbey.
We catch the train back to Dublin this morning. After some time at leisure, this evening we enjoy dinner at a real Irish institution, the Merry Ploughboys pub. On Day 8 we head to the airport for our return flight* to London.
