This morning we take a coach to the restored Bo'ness & Kinneil Railway for a journey hauled by a preserved locomotive*. Our trip takes us along the shore of the mighty Forth and into the hills as we make our way to Birkhill, set in attractive woodlands. Later we head to the Falkirk Wheel, a magnifi cent structure that links the Union and Forth and Clyde canals - overcoming a height difference of 79ft.
