Day 3 - Eisenach and Wartburg Castle

Today we visit Eisenach, a fantastic place rich in exciting museums and monuments - some of which we discover on a guided walking tour. Later we continue to the revered Wartburg Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage site, known as the place where Martin Luther first translated the Bible into German. After our guided tour, you are free to explore Eisenach's many attractions - perhaps visit Luther's childhood home, or the house where the composer Bach lived. (B,D)

Today we enjoy a guided walking tour of Weimar, the spiritual, artistic capital of Germany. The afternoon is at leisure, so perhaps visit the German National Theatre or Goethe's House, where the seminal writer penned his masterpiece Faust. Day 5 - Johann Sebastian Bach’s Leipzig

We travel by coach to Leipzig today. Famous for its connections to Bach, we enjoy a guided tour covering places related to the musician, including a tour of the Bach Museum. Free time after the tour allows you to explore independently. Be sure to visit St Thomas Church, where Bach was choirmaster and which is home to one of the world's most famous choirs. (B,D)
