Perfectly preserved and criss-crossed with attractive waterways, Bruges is a gem. Its step-gabled buildings line the canals and pretty squares, while the great basilica of the Holy Blood and the Belfry dominate the city.

This tour combines beautiful old cities, culture, emotion and a good work-out for one's senses. Bruges provides a wonderful, relaxed environment where the cobbled streets and grand buildings take you gently back to a bygone era.
Underfoot the cobbled streets can be a challenge but that's compensated by the area being flat and easy to seek out the delightful sights this city offers in abundance. Satisfaction is guaranteed for those who also delight in a wide selection of good beers or the irresistible crafts of the local chocolatiers.
Ghent is noticeably busier yet still full of charm and character. One of the highlights of the tour is the visit to Ypres - seeing the Menin Gate, rummaging through the memorabilia, trenches and armoury at Hill 62 all help put into perspective the courage, bravery and, for so many, the tragedy that resulted for those that fought there over 90 years ago.
