Park Hotel du Sauvage, Meiringen

Park Hotel du Sauvage, MeiringenView hotel details

The elegant 4-star Park Hotel du Sauvage is situated in the heart of Meiringen, just a short walk from the railway and cable car stations. Built in the Belle Epoque era of 1880, the hotel stands in generous gardens and is a subtle blend of period grace and modern amenities.

The hotel has three Art Nouveau dining rooms featuring frescos and ornate décor and an à la carte restaurant which also offers afternoon teas. A cosy conservatory bar is a great place to relax in the evenings and on some nights a pianist provides background music.

We are accommodated in large 'deluxe' category rooms which are equipped with a television, telephone, hairdryer, minibar and safe. Most rooms have views over the surrounding mountains.

In 2010 and 2011 the Park Hotel du Sauvage won Great Rail Journeys' Silver Award in the category of Best Hotel in Switzerland.

Typical meal arrangements when dining at the hotel:

  • Breakfast: buffet-style continental breakfast with hot items
  • Dinner: four-course dinner with a choice of main course
