Great Rail Journeys is committed to the satisfaction of its customers and you can rest assured that whichever tour you choose, you will always receive the same levels of quality and exceptional service. Every detail of our European rail breaks is thoroughly planned so that you can enjoy all the aspects of your holiday from start to finish, without having to make any of the arrangements. Accommodation, travel, excursions and several meals are all included within the price of your tour. Taking the trip by train is a remarkable way to travel and the comfortable seating, great facilities and constant views that it provides help to make the journey on our European rail breaks just as rewarding as reaching the destination. It also adds to the friendly atmosphere of our tours, allowing you to get to know your fellow travellers and talk about the day's events and travel experiences. Our holidays welcome everyone and offer something that will appeal to every guest, whether they are a group of seasoned adventurers looking to broaden their cultural knowledge or a couple wanting an unforgettable holiday experience. Individuals that would like to journey with other guests can also enjoy a selection of rail breaks which are specifically designed for the needs and comfort of single travellers.

To ensure that our high standards of customer service are maintained throughout your journey, our European rail breaks are accompanied by a professional Tour Manager. Guiding you through your holiday itinerary they will not only make sure that you get to your designated hotel on time, but also share friendly advice about the upcoming destination and answer any questions that you may have. On certain excursions we may also use the services of a local guide, offering you an in-depth knowledge of the local history and culture from someone native to the area. Excursions are an important part of European rail breaks and can include guided city tours, relaxing cruises and trips to iconic landmarks or areas of outstanding beauty. Although they are included within the holiday itinerary they are not compulsory, and if you would prefer to spend your time doing something else then you are free to do so. If you do like to explore independently, European rail breaks also have scheduled free mornings or afternoons where you can discover the local area at your leisure, visit previous points of interest or just relax and indulge in the hotel facilities.
