Rail Travel in the USA - Traveller's Notes

One of the most confusing aspects of travelling in the USA is the tipping culture. The price you pay for our rail holidays in the USA covers almost all tipping and your Tour Manager will see that it is done appropriately.

When you want to tip we recommend rewarding polite, friendly service with a tip of 10% of the overall bill. Where there is no overall bill (bar staff and bellboys for example) a couple of dollars is sufficient unless someone has worked particularly hard.
