Canadian Rail Journeys – The Last Wilderness
Search results
The character of our Canadian rail holidays changes drastically with the season. When winter comes it blankets the ground in a thick layer of linen white snow, but in summer the country comes alive as temperatures soar to higher than those in some parts of Spain. Canadian rail journeys in spring are entrancing as new shoots break through the frozen ground, but the autumn is no less stunning when waves of orange leaves swell and break in the forests.
Canadian rail journeys take in the best of the untamed wilderness to the north and the cosmopolitan cities to the south.

Canadian Rail Journeys - Traveller's Notes
Travelling in Canada is a lot like travelling in England. People are generally polite to each other and most of them speak English. The key exception to this rule is when visiting the province of Quebec which is mostly French speaking, where a few words of French (please s'il vous plait and thank you merci) are warmly received.
Guests on our Canadian rail journeys should be warned that confusing the Canadian provinces with each other receives a response similar to that given to American tourists who confuse Scotland with England.
