The summer months (February - November) are the wettest in Namibia, although average rainfall throughout the year is low. Weather can be extreme (particularly in Southern Namibia) during this time - hot during the day and cold at night, so be sure to pack many layers of clothing for your Namibia train holiday.
The Namibian Dollar is fixed to the South African Rand and both are widely accepted throughout the country. If your train tour through Namibia visits other South African countries it may be more convenient to only exchange your money into the South African Rand, which can be used during other parts of your Namibia Train holiday.
