Train Journeys to South East Asia

When you visit South East Asia you may get the opportunity to visit Bangkok, an exceptional city in the heart of Thailand. See lavish temples and listen to the soothing sound of Buddhist monks chanting. Explore the noisy and vibrant floating markets where sights, sounds and smells will take over your senses. There are also some beautiful tropical gardens in Bangkok and some interesting museums too. Enjoy a guided sightseeing tour and have dinner on a moonlit cruise along Bankok's 'River of Kings', allowing you to see the magnificent city illuminated against the night sky.

More fascinating sights can be found in Singapore on a train journey to South East Asia, the final destination of the Eastern and Oriental Express. Appreciate the mixture of colonial buildings and modern architecture as you take a sightseeing tour of the city's main sights such as Parliament House, the Cricket Ground and Merlion Park. Afterwards, enjoy some time on your own to explore at your own pace. You may wish to take a walk around the beautiful National Orchid Gardens or visit the bustling markets. For great views of the city take a ride on the Singapore Flyer, a giant observation wheel, and you may even see the neighbouring countries of Malaysia and Indonesia on a clear day.
