About Me
A business career divided between the financial sector and sports industry and family life crammed with annual travelling adventures moved me, on retirement from 'the day job', into the wonderful world of travel and life as a Tour Manager. During the past 8 years I have covered over 60 Great Rail Journeys' tours and I currently work in the long haul team. This has given me the privilege of travelling with over 2,000 customers, helping them to enjoy the incredible tours in the Great Rail Journeys programme.
Favourite Tour
My favourite countries are Switzerland and the USA. But the tours are not about me and what I like. They are about how I can enhance the holiday experience for the customers by managing travel-related problems and enabling everyone to fully enjoy a worry-free adventure.
Hobbies
I have enjoyed a long career as an average cricketer and a competent football referee. I am about to complete my 3,000th football match!
Travel Advice
Before closing your suitcase check again for what you can do without because the misery of a too heavy, unmanageable bag will remain with you throughout the tour.
