About Me
After 20 years as a hotelier I decided, at the age of 40, that a life change was in order. I bought a rucksack and told my family and friends I was going backpacking around the world for a year. They said I wouldn't last five minutes without my heated rollers and hairdryer! Well they were wrong and I thoroughly enjoyed my year, which included four months travelling around India by train. On my return to the UK I secured my first job as a long haul Tour Manager. I now have 20 years' experience as a Tour Manager - long and short haul - and there are few places to which I have not taken a tour.
Favourite Tour
My favourite tour is the Marrakech Express. How exciting! Not many people have travelled by train through Morocco! The souks, food and culture on this tour are simply amazing. In fact it is two holidays in one, as the trip includes a stay in Madrid and Ronda on the way out and Seville on the return leg. Our customers always feel that they have had a taste of the real Spain as well!
Hobbies
When I am not leading tours I enjoy playing golf and tennis, cooking and going to watch a good play or film.
Travel Advice
Travel light and with an open mind; it is not just where you go and what you see that matters, it is the people that you meet along the way who turn a wonderful holiday into an experience to remember.
