“The adventure was fantastic. Our tour manager, Ian Rae, shared his knowledge and kept us informed. He is personable and a delight to listen to. Connections were well co-ordinated as were the hotels. Anyone's needs were met. The views are outstanding and the variety of locations gave something for everyone to enjoy. I enjoyed the meals and grew accustomed to a Scottish breakfast . Trying new foods is one of my must do's. Loved Cranachan. I made new lasting friendships within my group over local beer and whiskey, This is certainly the way to travel, getting enlighten on what I am seeing and not driving. The countryside is beautiful and the cities are old world impressive. Castles and cathedrals, heather and grose, pubs and hotels, lochs and mountauns ....sooo much to experience.

“The Tour was very well organised from start to finish, with an EXCELLENT Tour Manager Steve. The Hotel in Edinburgh was situated near the Royal Mile, ideal location. Food and rooms very good, no complaints. The Hotel near Glencoe was surrounded by amazing scenery. Again food and rooms ,no issues. A view from our room. The steam train journey from Fort William to Mallaig via the Glenfinnan Viaduct, on The Jacobite, the highlight of our holiday. The Glenfinnan Viaduct The ferry crossing to Mull, and Tobermory an added bonus.

“I enjoyed every day of our visit tremendously although our visits to Lindisfarne and Bamburgh were affected by awful weather. Otherwise the weather was kind. Both hotels were good. Rail journeys fun.Our guide, Lynda was excellent. She got me mobile scooters so l could enjoy the gardens better. Perhaps my best memory is riding up the winding path through the forest of Japanese cherry blossom in full bloom in Alnwick Castle gardens. David

“Excellent holiday, excellent tour guide. With a group of 18 Les Rocquettes Hotel could not cope with the evening meals, very slow and not enough staff. Otherwise most enjoyable.

“GREAT HOLIDAY HOTEL AND GUIDE EXCELLANT BUT A MAP TO ENABLE US TO FIND HOTEL WOULD HAVE BEEN HELPFUL AND SEATS ON INWARD JOURNEY WAS BADLY CHOSEN WE WERE 6 HOURS ON TRAIN AND NO WINDOW . HOMEWARD BOUND WAS DREADFUL BUT NOTHING ANYONE COULD DO ABOUT FLOODS AND TRAINS STOPPED. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS HOLIDAY.
